Description

Since September 2020, Claudia Mariconda leads the Sustainable Transition department at Port of Antwerp. In this role Claudia steers teams focused on energy transition, transition in the industry, decarbonization of shipping and CSR, overseeing all transition projects in the Port. Sustainability is the fil rouge throughout Claudia’s career in the public and private sector in various European countries. A generalist by nature, Claudia focused on stakeholder management and added value creation in minerals and FMCG multinational companies, heading and inspiring global teams in various areas, incl. sustainability, environmental management, risk management and compliance. At the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in Geneva, Switzerland, she advised multinational companies on the integration of sustainability into their business strategies and facilitated stakeholder dialogues. A Belgian and Italian national, Claudia is trained in law – she earned a PhD and a Master of Laws from the Catholic University of Milan, Italy, and was Visiting Fellow at the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva, Switzerland.
