Description

Ms. Roselyne Mwila holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources Management from the University of Zambia and a Master of Science degree in Governance and Development from the University of Antwerp in Belgium. She has over 15 years work experience in sustainable development and project management. Roselyne joined the United Nations development Programe (UNDP) in 2016 as a Programme Analyst on the Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN) and the Global Environment Fund (GEF V) project. The BIOFIN focuses on the development of biodiversity financing mechanisms for Zambia while the GEF V project promoted sustainable management of forests and wildlife resources. Her work contributed to policy dialogues and integration of sustainable development goals into National development processes. Currently, she works as the Head of Exploration under the Accelerator Lab (Acclab) Zambia that she joined in October 2019. Through the Accelerator lab, UNDP is building the world’s largest and fastest learning network on sustainable development challenges. The 92 AccLab teams across the Globe and is creating actionable intelligence, finding innovations and testing local solutions with a diverse range of partners. Prior to joining UNDP, Roselyne worked with Centre for International Forestry Research, World Wide Fund for Nature, Zambian Governance Foundation, Zambia Council for Social Development and Zambia Land Alliance managing global and regional portfolios on environment, socio-economic development and policy issues.
